Our experts know how to use the IRS' own rules to preserve your rights. Has the IRS garnished some or all of your paycheck? Have your bank accounts been levied or are there IRS liens on your property? Do the IRS' tactics seem unreal and unfair? Does it seem that what they have done should be illegal? Well it may be! The IRS makes the rules and is willing to break them. We fight for our clients rights every day, and stop unjust, unfair and unlawful actions taken by IRS employees. The fact is the IRS cannot enforce a collection action against you that causes a financial hardship. That does not mean that they won't try. If you do not know how to fight for your rights, they will win. Call the professionals at TaxMasters at (800) 581-0456 we will make sure the IRS treats you fairly and treats you with respect! Here is How TaxMasters HelpsWe start with finding the cause of your tax problem, and give you the tools to keep your problem from occurring again. The tax professionals at TaxMasters immediately file your Power of Attorney with the IRS, and begin gathering your records including a copy of your IRS Master File. Once we have a Power of Attorney on file for you all IRS harassment should stop immediately. You have the right to insist that the IRS speak to us, even if an agent says otherwise. The next big step is filing and paying currently. This is an area that we pride ourselves on, great tax work. Many other firms see tax return preparation as unimportant. This could not be more untrue. There is no better way to solve a tax problem than thru great tax work. If someone tells you they want to file 'simple returns' and that they will solve the tax problem in an offer in compromise, run away. This is ignorant and amateurish. While you may be able to settle a debt by negotiating, it is better to start at a lower number. Many times we have found that by doing a thorough job on the tax returns that our clients really only owed a small amount that they could afford to pay, or in some cases were actually owed money by the IRS. Until you are in compliance with law and have met your obligation to file and pay the current tax, the IRS will not negotiate. We will also help with tax planning to be sure that you pay no more than you are required. While we believe in paying the tax, no one wants to overpay. 2006 will see $2.2 billion in refunds forfeited because people did not file their returns and claim their refunds. No one wants to be in this number. Read more on our unfiled tax returns page. Once you are in compliance we can move to the next phase of the solution. That is to settle up with the IRS. This may be an Offer in Compromise, a Partial Payment Installment Agreement, being declared Currently Not Collectable or just making some agreeable terms to pay the tax. Sometimes just paying them can be a terribly complex and frustrating chore. In many cases writing the IRS a check will not solve the problem but makes it worse. The money disappears to penalties and interest that you did not know about, and the debt survives. This is most especially true when trying to get rid of Federal Tax Liens. Testimonials
