Tax Masters Reviews and Client Testimonials

We've been collecting client testimonials for some time at Tax Masters, but have used them more in our advertising than our website. As part of the site redesign, we thought we'd add some of the more pertinent client testimonials, TaxMasters reviews, and success stories for you to peruse.

Many Tax Masters reviews have surfaced over the years that originate from people who aren't even Tax Masters clients. Specifically, there is a team of competitors working very hard to try and plant false reviews about TaxMasters in various locations. We understand that America is free and the Internet is a place of expression. While we take exception to many of the things said about us over the years, we wanted to provide you with some Tax Masters reviews and client testimonials from actual Tax Masters clients.

In all cases, names and certain specific details have been changed to honor the confidentiality with which we treat all clients.

IRS Tax Debt Resolution

There are multiple avenues to take to achieve meaningful tax debt resolution, including the offer in compromise and other negotiated settlement strategies. For more information, see our Settle Taxes page.

Nick - Atlanta, Georgia

The IRS sent me a bill for more than $60,000. Without Tax Masters help, I would've never knew that the IRS could actually end up owing me money. And that's exactly what happened. Going from tax debt to tax refund in one day was the last thing I expected when I signed up. It was the best day when the IRS sent us a $3,700 refund. I will recommend TaxMasters to anyone who might ask.

Bill - Fort Worth, Texas

The IRS said I owed them $17,600 but I couldn't pay. I'm on a fixed income and couldn't even get a favorable payment plan from the boys at the agency. TaxMasters settled my back taxes for just $1,000. Incredible.

Louis - Morgan, Utah

The IRS said I owed them almost $11,000. TaxMasters settled it for $575.

Audrey - Las Vegas, Nevada

The State of California said I owed them over $140,000, but it was my crazy ex-husband who owed them and wouldn’t pay. TaxMasters presented my case to the State of California Franchise Board and they reduced my tax liability to $0 based on innocent spouse relief. Thanks guys. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Jayne and Bill - New York, New York

We tried submitting our own offer in compromise and it went nowhere. The IRS sent us lots of letters that made no sense and then rejected our offer without much explanation. We wasted months on this and still owed them big. Then we got the worst news. The IRS notified us that they were going to seize what money we do have using the information we submitted on the offer. That's when we called TaxMasters. They fixed the problem and the IRS accepted a settlement with us after a few rounds back and forth. TaxMasters settled the whole thing for less than 20 cents on the dollar. Thank you TaxMasters.

IRS Audit Defense

Audit defense is a core competency at TaxMasters. We represent more clients with audits in a week than many tax CPAs and tax attorneys see in a career. If you are facing an audit, it's imperative that you get representation. And using the same CPA that got you into trouble to begin with is a huge mistake. Check out our IRS Audit Defense page for more information.

David - La Honda, California

The IRS accused me of fraud and added on all kinds of penalties. I was afraid I was going to jail. TaxMasters stopped the IRS from calling me and asking my neighbors questions about me. They really took care of business. I came out the other side of the audit owing a quarter what the IRS claimed.

Dave and Sharon - Colorado Springs, Colorado

The IRS auditor was really rude to Dave. She eliminated all our deductions and said we owed a bunch of money - nearly $20,000. TaxMasters handled her and had our audit corrected so that we didn't have to pay any additional tax from the audit year. From $20,000 to $0 is worth it no matter how you look at it. Audit defense pays. Big time.

Wage Garnishment and Levy of Benefits

When the IRS garnishes your wages or levies your retirement income and Social Security benefits, times can get tough very quickly. Often times, that's money you depend on to live and to work. Review our Stop Wage Garnishment page for more information on finding ways to negotiate a garnishment release.

Sam - Kremming, Colorado

The IRS was going to take my paycheck to pay an old tax bill. I was strapped already and couldn't pay my bills if they took it. Thanks to TaxMasters, I kept my paycheck. Dealing with the IRS was awful. Thanks for keeping them away from the money I needed to live.

Monte - Houston, Texas

The IRS tried to seize part of my Social Security check. I still have a mortgage and car payments and medical debt, too. TaxMasters stopped the IRS from taking my Social Security.

Release of Levy and Lien

When the IRS places a tax lien on your property or levies your accounts, they are telling the world about the problem. Anyone can find out the details about your battle with the IRS after the notice of lien has been issued. Not only embarrassing, an IRS lien can even cost a person his or her job. TaxMasters can be a powerful ally if you are facing an IRS lien or if they are threatening to levy your accounts.

Dan - Rochester, Minnesota

The IRS filed a lien against me and seized my savings. TaxMasters stepped in and stopped the IRS and showed me how to pay off my taxes while holding on to my money. Thanks TaxMasters.

Eileen and Kurt - San Antonio, Texas

Talk about bad timing. We went to close on our house and were told the IRS had filed a lien against Kurt. We called TaxMasters and they investigated the whole thing and got the lien removed. It was a mess, but we were still able to get the house after everything was ironed out. Good thing for Kurt, too!
